Applied Ocean Research

The aim of Applied Ocean Research is to publish open access papers that significantly advance state-of-the-art knowledge in a wide range of topics relevant to ocean research, technology and engineering applications. These topics include:

• Wave mechanics and hydrodynamics

• Wave-structure interaction

• Structural design, mechanics and dynamics

• Hazards, safety, reliability and risk management

• Marine energy, both renewable and hydrocarbon based

• Ocean acoustics

• Offshore engineering

• Geotechnical engineering

• Coastal engineering

• Maritime engineering and naval architecture

• Subsea engineering

• Arctic and polar engineering

• Control and application of remotely-operated vehicles

• Emerging methods in modelling and field research

It is important that all papers, particularly very theoretical ones, should stress the practical importance and applicability of their contents. Purely theoretical papers with no application are discouraged.
