The aim of Applied Ocean Research is to publish open access papers that significantly advance state-of-the-art knowledge in a wide range of topics relevant to ocean research, technology and engineering applications. These topics include:

From January 1, 2025, Applied Ocean Research will become a full gold open access journal freely available for everyone to access and read.
