The Association

We are responsible for developing the quality of Pinotage wines.

This is done by continuously educating members on the viticulture and vinification of Pinotage grapes, and by exchanging ideas on the production and marketing of Pinotage wines. The Association also works to identify problem areas around the growing and production of Pinotage, prioritising the necessary research for improvement.

The Pinotage Association is responsible for maintaining South Africa’s leading role in the production of quality Pinotage wines.
