The race scenes are great and the mixing of movie elements into real Formula 1 footages are great.
I like also to see some background information about the sport, and they show it: how engineers are developing and some nasty business moves.
But...there are many unrealistic elements, not only the in story, but also in the race scenes. In addition the movie has some severe political correct elements and has many product placements (especially of the sponsors of Mercedes Petronas team)
I didnt expect much, just a good movie. But in the end it was a very good one. And it is based on real events, which makes it even better. Some effects were good and also the actors.
The budget is clearly higher than in the series, you can see that already in the beginning of the film. thats great of course. The characters and dialogues are as good as in the series. I like, that the movie explains some important story elements of the universe, this movie feels like a good ending of the franchise, which was necessary, because the series ended...without an end.
I like the beginning and the middle part:many tense scenes with great acting. also the characters are well written. The end is a classic showdown, nicely done, but I saw many of them already.
The romance part didnt fit in my view
sometimes the movie is very good, even perfect: The beginning for example is raising the tension very well. But sometimes the movie is just average, like a B-Movie. I needed to remember that some pictures are looking so **** cant be a B-movie, it is an AAA.
Some parts of the story and even dialogues were repeated from the old alien movies, so I didnt like that. And in the same time part of the story contradict to the other alien movies.
The actors were not good, only David Jonsson as David was good. And the main character... oh no. Sigourney Weaver was an exception so dont try to repeat that. And in addition the characters were also boring.
Very mixed opinion about the movie:
On the one side the world is great, the design, the props. So surely a lot of people are curios how the franchise evolves after the good Fury road.
Chris Hemsworth as Dementus was great. Part of the story was good also.
But...
There was too much CGI and it was even very bad. Cant understand it - it is a AAA movie, isnt it?
There were so many logic holes, especially in many actions scenes. I laughed sometimes.
The feminism/ DEI/ wokeism was unbearable, also I laughed sometimes about it, although I was prepared to see it.
There are not many movies about this topic and even less that are playing in Africa with locals and is so authentic. The actors are convincing, the action scenes are realistic.
The movie is a bit too long and this is the biggest weakness
Classic movie with a charming Julia Roberts and fitting Richard Gere. The story is a classic fairy tale with some good humor. Sometimes the behaviors of the characters are unrealistic, but other than that its a very good entertainment.
The middle part was boring, because there was so much talking. The end and a little bit the beginning were much butter.
Visually the movie is great of course
Its a Anthony Hopkins show: what a performance.
Of course this movie is an interesting education about history and this president. I like the little political / propaganda tricks, that the movie showed
Somehow I noticed many bad things about this movie: The beginning is boring, especially because the actors are not convincing and the characters are not remarkable. The action part comes late and is ok, but far away from USA standard. The story is a typical AAA action thing, forget it.
So what is good? The movie takes place in Japan and in the history.
Woody Harrelson and Courtney Love with a great performance. The story is also very interesting and shows you some history about the famous porn magazine Hustler.
Visually this movie is stunning. And Leonardo DiCaprio is performing great. But somehow this movie miss something: the story istn complicated, the tempo is low, sometimes too low. In addition I don tlike the 20s
The topic is top and not popular. I like also that it plays mostly in countries like Honduras and Mexico.
The story has not much action, which I like. But sometimes it is too sentimental for me and some scenes were too unrealistic for me.
surprisingly a very good movie. The action parts were great and remember to Heat. Between them there were slower parts, which are not on the same level
The beginning is quite good and sweet. But the second half is as feministic and boring for men as many other US movies about love. Especially Arthur is so boring and beta. And Greta Lee is a bit ugly in my view.
There is one good thing, I remarked while watching: I like how honest the characters were about their feelings.
the action scenes are great, but a bit unrealistic.
the problem of the movie is the big us military propaganda and the arrogance of the characters. And in the end Afghanistan won, haha
Finally a great Scorsese movie again, and I only knew that in the outro :)
DiCaprio and De Niro were on their own level, wow.
The story is great, especially in the beginning, where you dont know the details, what is happening.
Visually its also stunning. The 200 Mio budget is clearly to see.
For every X-Files fan this movie is necessary to watch to continue with the 6th season. Fortunately the movie is very good and shows a lot about the main story. The budget is much higher than in an episode of a season and you can see it.
The biggest problem is no only the extremely unsympathetic Maya, but also the ugly Jessica Chastain, who is acting her. And if the main charakter doesnt work, the movie has a problem.
Anything else? Yes, the movie is a big US propaganda. They even show, that torture people is not a bad thing. Welcome to the middle ages.
Is there anything good? I liked to see so much of Pakistan and Afghanistan and not USA again. It was interesting to see the administration fights in the background. And the finale with the assault of the house was great.
On the one side the movies shows some interesting aspects of the sports world. There are some famous actors who are acting well of course.
On the other side the scenes were a bit too dramatic and exaggerated the situations in my view.
The beginning is not bad and the setting is surely interesting. But the part with McLoughlin andJimeno in the gravel was boring, the dialogue cliche. I expected the movie to be more political, although the movie hints some aspects. Instead of that it focused on 2 individual stories with their some families.I dont care about that, the theme World trade center and the political background would be more interesting for me
Surely a good movie. I liked the most, that the scenes are not over the top and more or less realistic. Only the fights between men and women are ridiculous again. But other than thet the movie focused more on the thriller part instead of unrealistic action. Surely you saw many car hunts, but here they are very well made.
Tom Cruise was great, but Heayley Atwell as Grace was a big positive surprise
I was warned, that the movie is feministic, so I didnt expect much. But the movie was a big surprise:
Fist the world they created is incredibile: so many hints to the barbie world and all made sense.
The humour was the best surprise, I laughed so often and some gags were great.
The story of course isnt incredible, but I like some aspects of it.
Margot Robbie and Ryan Goslings performance were top.
So the only reason for 9 and not 10 is feminism as written above. They could have save this problem, if they focus more on the theme respect in the end, they were so close...
I dont like watching such failures like the protagonists in this movie, so it was hard for me to follow. And the naive and weak opinions from the main protagonist were even more annoying. And did you notice the rude behaviour of the women...
The acting was good though.
The biggest problem of the movie is the political correctness, especially in the beginning. In addition Spider-man was always for teens and I am not that anymore. So sometimes I even wanted to stop the movie and do something else.
But the last half of the movie gets better. Just the story is over the top and exaggerated. The art style is interesting though
I like the focus of the movie: it shows the psychology of the characters and doesnt live from the action that will be outdated in many years anyway. So you can watch it today too.
The story is good and shows the modern war of Iraq, I have enough of Vietnam war. Some scenes and even the story reminded to me to Full Metal Jacket, sometimes even too much.
On the one hand the setting is good, the world is interesting and I like dystopic movie. This one reminds me to 1984. Christian Bale is convincing.
But on the other hand the movie has too much style and is not realistic
I saw this movie twice, because I missed the beginning in the cinema. I enjoyed this movie more the 2nd time and it was interesting to follow the life of Oppenheimer. Still I liked the twist into the bureaucratic fight against Strauss.
But the movie has some flaws:
Cillian murphy is almost in every scene and he is ugly (because too thin), some scenes are edited too fast to follow.
What a beautiful and heart braking movie at the end :) The middle of the movie is also good, but the beginning is a bit slow and the reason, why I gave it 9 points and not 10.
The story and the characters are the focus of the movie: The story gives many wisdoms of live, for parents and for children. Pinocchio and the old Geppetto have clearly an understandable development, just like the viewers.
Technically the movie is the state of the art of course and have an unique graphic style.
The idea is good: it is not so common to show a movie about a business deal. And in addition we have famous actors in it, who acted greatly. Also they catched the 80s very well, for example with top music.
But somehow it didnt catch me, there is not enough content in my view, so the movie felt slow. Maybe they could show us more about the development after the deal and if there were some troubles and how they deal with that. In addition we know the result: We know, that Nike worked with Jordan and he became the best basketball player of all time.
Visually perfect again, also the action parts. The humour worked also most of the time, but not always. Some scenes were very sad and these scenes worked well also.
The story is ok, so a good entertaining movie. I didnt like, that someone was screaming so often, for example Nebula. And Star Lords whining about Gamora was annoying, what a **** And some characters were too superficial in my view.
Maybe this movie was a great one in the 50s, but today so many things are outdated. The story is a bit unrealistic, some dialogues were too long, some scenes looks very cheap, the humour didnt catch me. The acting was good
Another crap movie full of "style" = no logic, a lot of snobism, artificial behaviour, ridiculous "traditions/rules". In addition the story is superficial. Yes, I was annoyed. 2 hours and 49 minutes for this movie...what a joke.
Donnie Yen as Caine was good.
Again I didnt like the overstyled, snob and unrealistic scenes. Halle Berrys Sofia was also annoying because of that. The adjudicator was too ugly.
The story is dumb again. And the weak side of John about his wife is annoying again.
Is there anything good? Yes, some fighting scenes were nice, especially when the camera was very near to the fights. And the fights were good some times.
Much better, than the first movie: The action scenes are impressive, I like the fight techniques. Also the stunt performances were great. the budget seems to be much higher.
The story is a bit better, the infrastructure around the mafias is interesting, but a bit artificial, just like the whole movie, some would say it is style
If you dont like movie without logic, then you will not like John Wick: Stylish, fast paced movie with a story on the level of action movies from the 80s. Characters? Only Marcus was interesting, surely because of William Dafoes acting skills. The rest was boring.
Very good end of the trilogy. As usual the characters are in the focus of the movie and many of them were grey, not clear and some of them developed, especially Michael Corleone and Vincent Mancini. Al Pacino was great. The story around the vatican and the foundation was good and took the mafia methods in the modern times.
solid movie with some popular actors, but neither Johnny Depp nor Christian Bale was convincing, especially the cool round sunglasses were annoying. Overall there was too much style.
The movie is also too long and not realistic. The story isnt anything new, a classic cop vs. criminals.
What was good? The world they created during the great depression.
Johnny Depp with a great performance, his Edward ist very sad and with low self confidence, a sympathetic character.
The story is sad also and a bit unrealistic, but intentionally exaggerated, like a fairy tale. So dont take everything seriously. But the bottom line about the bourgeois is clear and surely true.
The art design was a master piece earlier, today every film lover knows Tim Burton.
Visually this movie is almost perfect: The CGI is stunning and on a new level, but it was too much PC graphics in my view. Anyway go to a cinema to watch it on a big screen. The music fits also perfectly.
But the story is so simple, I missed the political level that you had in the first Avatar, also we get to know a whole new world with a very interesting civilization. Avatar 2 is not so new to us. And yes, the movie is too long, the characters not so interesting.
Classic gangster movie with a perfect performance from Al Pacino and a perfectly written character. You never know, what he is doing next with his incredible energy. His development from the low to the top and back is catching you. The action is great also.
Perfect movie: The story is classic mafia, but the content is interesting and teach you some nice stuff. Some of the characters are detailed and not always to see through. Some action stuff are crazy, out of nowhere someone is dead. Great dialogues also, similar to Pulp Fiction. Actors...great again. In addition it was great to see how many things were changing because of the time it took place: It starts at the 50s and ends at the 80s
**** movie gets better and better the longer you re watching it. The beginning is a bit weird. Is it a **** romance? for a long time the story was not catching me. But then it gets great and more and more complicated to follow all the lies Tom Ripley was using. Great acting by Matt Damon, he shows his very detailed character perfectly. Jude law was also good.
Classic movie, that starts very slow, too low. After about 40 minutes the movie begins to be interesting, when some situations are weird. Until the end it is unclear, if rosemary is paranoid or if she is right. The solution is at the end. Great acting
This movie has some touching moments, but is also hard sometimes. The story is great and a good idea to show the world **** you almost never see. Top acting and actorysbeside of one-sided bad girl Hilly Holbrook
