IGN's Walkthrough for Avowed will guide you on a perilous adventure through the Living Lands, featuring in-depth walkthroughs for every major region you visit, where to find your next objective, important decisions and dialogue choices, plus tips for surviving challenging boss fights and more.
In Avowed, you'll be tasked to investigate rumors of a Soul Plague originating in the untamed Living Lands. As a Godlike and the Envoy of the Aedyran Empire, you'll have to navigate the dangerous politics of a distrusting populace, a zealous group of paladins, and the overreaching arm of an empire desperate to reign in a wild frontier, all while struggling to make sense of the strange Dreamscourge and even stranger voice bidding you to uncover the secrets of the Living Lands.
Avowed Walkthrough Sections
Avowed is divided up into four major semi-open world regions that make up the Living Lands, each with a major city and trading hub. Each of these regions includes a few main quests that span the length of these explorable regions, including both important dialogue that you can influence, and taking down dangerous threats that stand in your way. Select a Main Quest below to get guides for each location, including tips on how complete your objectives, find important treasure along the way, and tips on making important decisions or taking on boss fights.
Prologue - Fort Northreach
Before your adventure in the Living Lands can begin in earnest, you'll find yourself awakening on strange shores after surviving a shipwreck, requiring you to escape a fort that has been visited by death.
Dawnshore
Arriving at the continent known as the Living Lands, you'll soon become acquainted with its inhabitants - including the locals trying to scrape out a second chance at life on hostile shores, and the increasingly authoritative Aedyran Embassy looking to stake its claim. Before you can begin your investigation in earnest, you'll have to deal with a few local problems.
Emerald Stair
Once your business is concluded in Dawnshore, the Envoy will need to make contact with the Animancers of Fior mes Iverno, where a once lush breadbasket of the region is now being blighted for mysterious reasons. If you can find willing help here, you may just gain valuable insight into the nature of the Dreamscourge.
Shatterscarp
Just as the Envoy learns the identity of the mysterious Voice in their head, you'll find yourself in a race against the Steel Garrote to the ancient ruins of Naku Kubel, which may hold a clue to the location of a mysterious "Garden". Unfortunately, swarms of Dreamthralls now roam the sands of Shatterscarp and attack the walls of its only bastion, Thirdborn. To make it to through this region, you'll need the help of the eccentric Orlan, Yatzli, but the arrival of a terrifying and powerful Archmage may make things even harder.
Galawain's Tusks
Deep in the nearly inhospitable and volcanic land of Galawain's Tusks, the Envoy and their companions will find a path to the Garden almost within their grasp. However, with the mysterious Garden across a sea of acid, you will need to turn to the reclusive Dwarven Wardens of Solace Keep for aid. With the Steel Garrote also racing to locate an entrance, time is running short.
