Fresco is the
industry-proven, de facto IPTV browser standard, deployed globally
by leading IPTV and hybrid service providers. Fresco enables
operators to cost-effectively and reliably deliver interactive
digital TV through consistent and fast presentation of core user
interface functionality such as EPGs (electronic programming
guides), VoD (video on demand) and on-screen menus.
"The sheer volume of set-top boxes we have deployed with ANT Fresco
is a testament to the browser's enhanced user experience which
meets the demands of today's complex TV-based applications," said
Mark Rooney, Group Account Director at Pace Micro Technology.
"Fresco is pre-integrated with such a wide range of middleware and
silicon solutions that we can deliver a Fresco-enabled box knowing
it will be reliable and consistent in the presentation of content to
subscribers."
"True service innovation is not only centered around applications,
but is also in the consumer devices that will enable those services
and deliver content to the end user," said Simon Woodward, president
and CEO, ANT. "ANT Fresco is up to the task of meeting the needs of
consumers and helping Operators achieve market success. Having
reached this milestone with Pace, Fresco has proven to be robust and
reliable time and time again."
ANT solutions enable Telcos, ISPs and TV operators to create and
deploy IPTV services across a wide range of STB hardware quickly and
cost-effectively. ANT software is pre-integrated with a wide range
of head-end, middleware and silicon solutions, giving STB
manufacturers a quick time-to-market. In addition, content
developers can create complex TV-based applications using existing
skills and off-the-shelf tools.
Standardizing on ANT solutions ensures control of project timings,
costs and risk. ANT's product architecture, small code size and
streamlined delivery process shortens product launch cycles and
controls hardware costs by optimizing memory, network and processor
requirements. Building on the success of Fresco, ANT has developed
ANT Galio. Galio enables new service development and implementation
with its advanced W3C standards support and display capabilities
using HTML, JavaScript and CSS. Being completely agnostic as to
media delivery technology, Galio is able to form the basis of
powerful solutions in Cable, IPTV and hybrid TV environments.
Service providers are able to develop interactive entertainment
services and incorporate their own branding. Galio provides the
responsive and customisable user interface, digital content control
and the capability for a range of additional interactive services
