The SBN has a number of datasets available on-line for browsing and downloading, the vast majority of which are in the form of ASCII or binary tables of numbers. A description of the various file types you might encounter can be found here. Selected portions of CDROM sets are also available for browsing at the University of Maryland. Entire sets may be requested from the node using the form below. The same form may also be used to request special processing of archive data sets.
The Ida/Gaspra Collection, a collection of catalog data and images of these two asteroids, prepared in support of the Lunar and Asteroid Data Analysis Program (LADAP)
The NEAR Mission Archival Data, the final version of the data on DVDs delivered to SBN in early January 2002. Archival data from the NEAR mission (all instruments) underwent an external peer review, organized by PDS Small Bodies Node, on August 15-16, 2001. The liens from the peer review were corrected by the NEAR project. The final version of the data, on 539 CDROMs, was shipped to PDS Central Node on September 24 and October 2. Because of the enormous volume of data, the CDROMs were converted to DVDs.
Giotto's Encounter with Comet 26P/Grigg-Skjellerup: The Scientific Data, a CDROM containing data from the Giotto Extended Mission, produced by a collaborative effort between the European Space Agency and the PDS Small Bodies Node.
Comet Cross-Identification Utility: Enter one designation to get a list of other names and designations associated with that comet
International Halley Watch (IHW) Errata/Addenda: This combines corrected files for known, serious errors on the existing CDROM set with many new files, including extensive ground-based infrared observations and additional data from the various spacecraft that visited Halley. Images from the Halley outburst of 1990-91 are included. Production of the two-volume set is scheduled for later this year. Pre-publication copies are available for inspection here:

The calculation of orbital elements is a complex and never-ending process. We do not maintain orbital elements here at the Small Bodies Node, however there are two independent sources for elements over the Web:
Dr E. Bowell at Lowell Observatory maintains a file containing elements for all numbered asteroids, which he makes available free of charge through his Web page.
The Minor Planet Center catalogs asteroid and comet identifications and orbital elements and prepares ephemerides. They are supported by the user fees they charge for their various services, so there may be a fee required before they can fill any given request.

The Central Bureau for Astronomical Telegrams and the Minor Planet Center, the organizations responsible for assigning new asteroid and comet designations, have cross-reference utilities available for these designations:
