It utilizes the libmodbus library (https://libmodbus.org),
which is licensed under the LGPL-2.1 License.

However, the MIT-licensed code does not use any components from libmodbus that
would cause it to fall under the terms of the LGPL-2.1 License.

The build process produces an executable with libmodbus dynamically linked,
which does not cause the executable to fall under the terms of
the LGPL-2.1 License.
