Hi aepfli, I reported this problem at Mozilla. It looks as if it's not their fault, but they offered a kind of workaround: |

I suffered this BS as well, happened after upgrading to Ubuntu 24.04 to 25.04. In fact, many things broke and I had to stop using sway and go back to i3. Since then, my laptop storage failed and after several years of upgrading shit I had to reinstall everything. sway is working OK (well, except for a keyboard layout problem). So probably you have some config leftover interfering. |

This is happening to me as well again. I'm going to use this issue to document shit as I try to figure it out. Starting point: I had a running firefox, all good. I went to about:profiles and it said "there's already been changes in profiles, you need to restart". Restarted, and now firefox is doing exactly what you described that I had seen before. Things I've tried, no success:
I just noticed I have snap's firefox installed even though I did install the mozilla apt repo Forcefully install it from mozilla OK this works now. I restored the profile back up and it works. |

hey,
i am at my wits end. Since the last restart my firefox is not rendering UI fonts anymore. There is no other limitiation but i do not see text in any kind of ui element, see screenshot (no tab title , no search bar text, no context menu text etc)

Fun part is, it works on Regolith with i3 and on normal Ubuntu without any issue. Just not on Regolith with wayland.
I do not have enough information to file a bug, i tried to find some logs or anything related to this. Checked the settings, etc. but i could not find anything suspicious.
If somebody has an idea, what can cause this kind of behaviour please let me know
